A-Z: Olly Thornley A-Z: Olly Thornley

Day fifteen of our A to Z series is dedicated to Curzon academy product, Oliver Thornley! Despite being just 21, Thornley has established himself as an imposing figure at the back, having progressed through the club's youth set up.

The young defender, who signed with the club in July 2016, spent the first half of the 2018/19 season on loan at Glossop North End, before being recalled and subsequently signing a new 18-month contract, keeping him at the Tameside Stadium.

Thornley made his first team debut against Brackley Town in March 2017, and scored his first Nash goal four months later against Nuneaton Borough. He was also part of our Manchester Premier Cup winning side.

The central defender clocked up 14 appearances in a Nash shirt this season, and scored in our season opener, a 5-0 win over eventual bottom side, Bradford Park Avenue.

Make sure to come back to our official website tomorrow to see what letter P goes out to!
