Prior to Curzon Ashton's first-team game this Saturday at home to FC United of Manchester, Curzon Ashton Community Foundation will be hosting the first ever charity game between the newly formed Follo FC and Infinity Initiatives FC.
Founded in December 2018 by Gary Berkley following the death of his son Sam, Follo FC (For Our Lost Little Ones) was formed to help support fathers who have suffered the loss of a child.
It was around this time that our community partner Infinity Initiatives also formed their own football team, Infinity Initiatives FC, the team was set-up to help raise awareness of mental health.
Following the formation of these team, Curzon Ashton Foundation offered its services and provided the teams with the facilities to help get the projects off the ground.
With both teams training at the Tameside Stadium every Sunday a friendship was soon formed, and Saturday's game will represent and recognize the twelve weeks of hard work and dedication from both teams both on and off the pitch.
Get down to the Tameside Stadium from 1pm to support a fantastic cause!
