Midfielder Connor Hughes is the latest player to sign on the dotted line, committing to Steve Cunningham's Curzon side ahead of the coming season.
Hughes, 25, who has been with Northern Premier League North/West side, Colne for the last two seasons, was a mainstay in the heart of the Reds midfield during the 2019-20 season and has previously worked under Cunningham at Holt House.
Last season, Hughes scored eight goals, and helped the Lancashire outfit to the fourth-qualifying round of the FA Cup, where they face Gateshead, having scored a key equaliser against Dunston UTS in the previous round.
Before his time with Colne, where he has impressed throughout with his goals and assists return in the final third, Hughes played for Manchester side, Maine Road.
Cunningham was delighted to be reunited with Hughes, and can't wait to see the attacking-midfielder demonstrate why he is worthy of a move into the sixth tier.
He said: "I'm excited to see what Connor can do at this level, after spending two and a half years at Colne. Connor is a versatile, attacking midfielder who can play right across the pitch. He's got a laid back style with great quality on the ball, he has an eye for a goal and can unlock a defence with a dyanmic range of passes.
"Connor deserves this chance after the season he had last year with Colne, he was one of the club's leading goalscorers and assist contributors, he's local to the area and is an unbelievable talent on his day. He's got a fantastic family support network, and I'm really proud to be able to give him this chance to step up and show what he's all about."
Clearly a fan favourite, who left with plenty of well wishes from those at Colne, we hope Connor can go on to have a similarly successful spell during his time with us!
