Steve Cunningham's Curzon suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat at the hands of Clitheroe, during a thrilling five-goal contest at Shawbridge.
Goals from Robbie Evans and Max Harrop proved too little to deny Clitheroe victory in the Nash's fourth pre-season friendly.
Curzon needed just 24 minutes to open the scoring, as Evans latched onto a ball over the top from Trialist A before slotting home cooly beneath the Clitheroe keeper.
The Nash almost made it two just before the break as new signing, Paul Turnbull rattled the crossbar with a fierce effort.
Clitheroe leveled proceedings 15 minutes after the restart, as Markell's looping cross floated in at the far post.
The hosts then grabbed a second eight minutes later, as Ollie Muir provided the finishing touch to put Clitheroe ahead.
Kieran Feeney then made it three for the home side after 77 minutes, firing his driven effort beyond Cam Mason.
It proved too little too late for the Nash, as with two minutes left to play, Trailist bound down brilliantly on goal, before providing summer signing, Max Harrop with a simple finish to pull back a consolation for Cunningham's men.
Curzon are back in action on Tuesday evening, when we travel to Ewen Fields to take on Hyde United, with kick-off set for 7:45pm.
