Curzon Ashton are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Michael Clegg and Seed of Speed, a specialist programme designed to help and train elite athletes locally and around the world.
The arrangement will see the Club promote the Seed of Speed brand on the back of the away shirt for the remainder of the season as well as founder, Michael Clegg, come on board as Community Health and Wellbeing Ambassador, working with us on a number of joint initiatives designed to help wellbeing in Tameside.
Talking about the new partnership, Club Director, Paul Jolleys said;
"I was aware of the work that Mike had been doing both with Seed of Speed and with his personal commitment in helping to promote healthy living in Ashton and Tameside, and could see numerous parallels with our own work through the Curzon Ashton Community Foundation. I approached him with a few ideas and I'm really pleased that he could see we had common objectives.
"Over the coming months, we'll be working together to utilise Mike's skills and expertise to benefit a number of programmes already in place as well as planning something special over the summer.
"With his wealth of experience gained through his career as a professional footballer at Manchester United and in his role as Sunderland's Strength and Conditioning coach, we'd be daft not to tap into that when we get the opportunity to.
"These are really exciting times for us".
Michael Clegg commented;
"I'm really pleased to partner with Curzon Ashton and I feel we can make a difference to 1000s of people lives in and around Tameside. Wellbeing is something I feel really passionate about and I'm sure that together we can have a positive impact"
