Who put the ball in the Railway net ? Who put the ball in the Railway net ?

 Super Niall Cummins

This month we saw Niall Cummins confirm his departure from the Club. Having spent the latter part of 2018/19 on loan at Evo-stik Premier Division side, Marine, he has agreed a permanent deal with them for the 2019/20 season, following the expiry of his contract with Curzon.

Niall will be fondly remembered by the Curzon faithful, having been signed by John Flanagan in 2013, during our spell in the Evo-Stik North Division.

Always a handful for defenders, Niall led the line for The Nash for more than 5 years and was a key part in our promotion winning squads in 2014 & 2015. He famously "put the ball in the Railway net" to secure promotion, as Champions, to Evo-stik Premier Division, away at Harrogate.

Although injuries hampered him in his last year with us, he scored 75 goals in 206 starts for Curzon.

Everyone at the Club wishes Niall every success at Marine, where he will, again, look to lead the team back to the Evo-stik Premier Division.

Popular with supporters, players and staff alike, he will be welcome back in the Nash Bar any time.

Good luck Super Niall Cummins.
