Match Preview by Leon Higgins

Curzon look to build on Tuesday’s league victory away at Marine with a tough test against Macclesfield.

Tuesday’s result leaves The Nash two points from top of the table Chorley in the National League North with a game in hand, however, this weekend the focus is on the FA Trophy and the opportunity of a cup run.

The Silkmen are yet to be beaten in the Northern Premier League and are 13 points clear at the top of the table. Robbie Savage’s side come off a 2-0 win at home to Morpeth Town on Saturday.

Defeats in the FA Cup 4th qualifying round to Tamworth and a 3-1 Cheshire Senior Cup loss last week to Stalybridge Celtic mark the only defeats this season.

So far in the competition Macclesfield have beaten City of Liverpool 3-0 and Ashton United 7-1.

Macclesfield got the better of Curzon just last season at the Tameside Stadium in the FA Trophy with a 2-0 win in the Last 64.
