Curzon Ashton are still winless at home in 3 games on an overcast Saturday afternoon. A well taken goal from Aaron Forde for Rushall and a beautiful freekick from Luke Griffiths salvaged a point for The Nash.
Curzon started the game slowly with Rushall Olympic having all of the possession but not creating any chances to trouble Bobby Jones. 3 minutes in, the first chance of the game arrived through Isaac Buckley-Ricketts who played the ball over the top of Rushall defence and the captain, Spencer failed to connect. Into the 11th minute Jimmy Spencer had a massive chance to put The Nash ahead, Isaac Buckley-Ricketts played a great ball to Spencer who put too much on his shot which went wide. The 15th minute mark arrived, Rushall had their first chance through Kian Ryley who dispossessed Jordan Richards and his shot went over the bar.
On the half hour mark Curzon had another chance to go in front, Isaac Sinclair played the ball into the box and Adam Barton’s header sailed over the bar. A couple of minutes later, Curzon had another chance through Stefan Mols, Spencer played Stefan in whose shot was saved from a tight angle by Paul White. Just before halftime Sinclair had the opportunity to put The Nash ahead, but his shot was saved again by Rushall’s Paul White.
The Nash ended the first half 0-0 but created a lot of opportunities to go in front with Rushall Olympic struggling to get into the game.

As the second half began, Curzon carried on creating chances with Buckley-Ricketts having two great chances to put The Nash in front. Rushall Olympic were not creating any chances to trouble Bobby Jones in The Nash goal. The 64th minute arrived, Curzon had another freekick with Poscha getting on the end of it but it went over the bar. The 70th minute arrived and there were massive chances for both Rushall and Curzon. Rushall broke down the right hand side, Samuel McLintock shot was brilliantly saved by Bobby Jones, from the resulting save Buckley-Ricketts was played in behind, he rounded White but Nathan Cameron cleared his shot off the line.
The final 10 minutes arrived with The Nash still creating opportunities but failing to take them and that proved
In the 88th minute there was finally a breakthrough, however the goal came for Rushall Olympic who went ahead through Aaron Forde. His volley bounced into the ground which looped over Jones and into the bottom left corner. The fourth official awarded 6 minutes of injury time for Curzon to salvage a point. Up stepped Luke Griffiths who whipped a great left footed freekick off the post and into the net.

Curzon will now look to get into the Frank Hannah Manchester Premier cup final as they visit Tameside rivals Hyde United on Tuesday night.
