Match preview by Leon Higgins

Two victories last week have given Curzon a huge confidence boost going into the last stretch of fixtures with play offs on the line. Saturday’s win against Warrington Town also bought cause for celebration as it was Craig Mahon’s 50th victory in just 97 games alongside a 40th clean sheet under the Irishman’s reign.

After Saturday’s results, which saw Buxton draw with Kidderminster, Hereford draw with Chester, King’s Lynn and Chorley play out a 0-0 draw and Radcliffe causing a shock by defeating Scunthorpe 1-0, The Nash sit 5th in the table on 72 points and ahead of Chorley on goal difference. Hereford then follow on 70 points and in the last play off spot. King’s Lynn are also on 70 while Buxton sit behind on 68.

Spennymoor know a victory is crucial if they want to sneak into the play offs with The Moors currently sitting on 66 points, 4 points behind Hereford. They also have a trip to Wembley to look forward to after reaching the FA Trophy final on Saturday. A 5-4 penalty win after a 2-2 draw at Rochdale saw them book a date at Wembley against National League side Aldershot.

League wise they have won 3 of their last 4 with wins against relegation sides, Warrington, Radcliffe and Farsley Celtic with a defeat against Chorley.
