Like everyone else, at five o’clock on the last day of the season, my thoughts were ‘what if we had done this differently’ or ‘that goal had or had not been scored’, but very quickly my thoughts turned to what we had achieved, clean sheets, points gained, it has all been well documented already, and I felt very proud of the small part I had played and immensely proud of our Management team and our players, in what was clearly another superb season full of history making achievements.

Now it is time to start looking forward to the new season which will again pose many challenges both on and off the field of play. The Management team have already identified the players they would like to remain at the Club and the players they would like to bring in, and, as I’m sure you all know, are working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure we assemble a squad that can once again challenge at the top of the table. We have also confirmed 3 home preseason friendlies and will be taking the players away to Spain in July for a few days warm weather training.

Away from the men’s first team we are delighted to announce a restructure of senior teams with the creation of a Reserve team and the return to the Tameside stadium main pitch for the Curzon Ashton Women’s team, it is hoped that both teams will have a major role to play within the “Curzon family” over the coming seasons.

There will be many more changes taking place at the club over the coming months which we hope will help improve not only your match day experience but hopefully propel the Club to the next level, starting with the appointment of a new media & marketing manager.

As always we need your support in helping make our Club bigger and better, so as we always say keep being “loud and proud”

Cheers
