Unfortunately due to the ongoing pitch renovation work at the Tameside Stadium the first home, pre season friendly against Salford City on the 15th July has been cancelled. Here’s a in depth guide into the teams Curzon will face this summer.


Liversedge FC:

Following relegation from the Northern Premier League Division One East, Sedge will be playing in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division this coming season. Liversedge began their pre season on Tuesday by winning 6-0 at home to Huddersfield Amateurs. A previously proposed game against Wyke Wanderers was cancelled before facing The Nash.

Wigan Athletic:

On The Nash’s 4 day training camp to Murcia, Curzon will face League One side Wigan Athletic. Ryan Lowe’s men will provide a tough test as they prepare for their opening League One clash against Northampton Town. Summer
signings for The Latics have included, Dara Costelloe from Northampton, Fraser Murray from Kilmarnock, Christian Saydee from Portsmouth and the very experienced Paul Mullin joining on loan from Wrexham. During the EFL fixture release day the 2013 FA Cup winners were drawn against Notts County in the Carabao Cup as well as being joined by Salford, Stockport and Wolves U21 in the Vertu Trophy.

Silsden AFC:

Silsden will play in the Northern Premier League Division One East for the upcoming season after winning the Northern Counties East Premier Division. Last season saw Silsden record their record FA Cup and FA Vase run as well as a club record winning run. The upcoming season marks the first time The Cobbydalers have ever played at Step 4 of the pyramid since their forming in 1904. Prior to this fixture Silsden travel to Barnoldswick Town and Harrogate Railway Athletic before hosting Warrington Rylands, three days prior to facing Curzon. The Cobbydalers recently announced the retention of last season’s joint top goalscorer Kayle Price who has scored over 50 goals in their past two campaigns.

Hyde United:

Curzon faced The Tigers last season in the Manchester Senior Cup at the Project Solar Stadium losing 4-2 in the Quarter Finals. The Northern Premier League Premier Division is where Hyde will be playing their football in the 2025/26 season. The Tigers will host National League side Morecambe 7 days before taking on The Nash.

Oldham Athletic:

Oldham returned to the EFL in June after a play off victory against Southend at Wembley. They begin their 130th season by visiting MK Dons before taking on Accrington Stanley in the preliminary round of the Carabao Cup after 9 Premier League clubs in Europe forced the EFL to re structure the competition. Oldham’s pre season fixtures sees them go up to Scotland to face Dundee Utd at Tannadice Park before going to Boundary Park to face Bradford City with the short journey down the A627 to face the Nash rounding their pre season off.

FC Halifax Town:

Curzon conclude pre season by hosting National League side Halifax. Former Curzon manager Adam Lakeland is in charge of The Shaymen after leaving King’s Lynn Town in June. Halifax will also face National League North opponents Macclesfield and Radcliffe but round off their pre season against the Nash.
