Goals from Jamie Cooke and Will Harris condemned The Nash to a home defeat.


The Nash started the game slowly as Latty-Fairweather was played in on the left hand side with his shot being saved by Hawkins. Down the other end, Joe Rodwell-Grant muscled off his defender as his attempted lob over the keeper went over the bar. 18 minutes in, Alex Curran had a freekick which was hit hard and low and went just past the post.

Into the half hour mark, Halifax had another chance as Will Harris’ header went just over the bar. 4 minutes later Halifax were in again as Jamie Cooke’s deflected shot from distance was caught by Hawkins in goal. Just before half time, Halifax went in front through Jamie Cooke.

Half time arrived with The Nash behind in their final pre-season game.

The second half began with The Nash starting slowly as Will Harris doubled Halifax’s lead in the 47th minute. In the 50th minute Alex Curran was played in behind with his shot being saved brilliantly by Sam Johnson. Just after the hour mark Latty-Fairweather was in again for Halifax as his cross into the box was claimed by Hawkins.

With 15 minutes left, Halifax had another chance as Angelo Cappello’s first time shot went over the bar. Before the full time whistle, Curzon had a chance to get a goal back as the ball fell to Ben Darby just outside of the box with his effort being saved by Johnson.

The game came to end with The Nash ending their 2025/26 pre-season campaign with a defeat.
