Match preview by Leon Higgins.

After returning back to winning ways in the National League North on Saturday after a 2-1 home victory over Alfreton, Mark Bradshaw’s team put league action aside for a return to FA Trophy action. The Nash take part in the third round following a victory at Ilkeston Town in round two.

The Nash will have an absentee in the squad after Joe Rodwell-Grant rejoined Northern Premier League side Warrington Town on a short term loan on Friday after leaving Warrington in the summer.

Marine defeated Stocksbridge Park Steels 2-0 at home in round two and is one of three wins in their last five games. League victories have come at home against Telford United and Kidderminster Harriers and a draw against Oxford City with their one defeat coming in a 2-0 home defeat to Spennymoor last time out.

Marine have had several players make the National League North team of the week since the league match in October, which resulted in Curzon winning 4-0 at Rossett Park.

Adam Anson (GW10 and GW16), Matthew McDonald (GW11 and GW13 and Declan Drysdale (GW17 and GW18) have all made recent team of the weeks.

Head to Head:

There has been nine meetings between the sides since the first match in 1990.

Curzon have come out on top on six occasions with one draw while Marine have claimed two victories including the last match at the Tameside Stadium.

This will only be the second meeting in a FA competition after a FA Cup 1st qualifying round match at Rossett Park in September 2013 which Curzon won 4-2.

Management Preview:

Speaking on the return to FA Trophy action, Head Coach Mark Bradshaw commented:

It’s going to be another tough game, we know how good Marine are and we also know the run they’ve been on recently, so, it’s another game at home, we go into every game at home believing we can beat whoever turns up so we will be going into that one fully confident.

Children’s ‘meal deal’ boxes are now available to purchase, containing nuggets, chips and a fruit shoot/water for £5.
