The Stadium
The Tameside Stadium has been the home of Curzon Ashton football Club since 2005 when it was officially opened by Sir Alex Ferguson.
Before entering the stadium, you will see a statue featuring three world cup winners that were all born in Tameside, Sir Geoff Hurst (England, 1966), Jimmy Armfield (England, 1966) & Simone Perrotta (Italy, 2006) – find out more.
Adjacent to the stadium, there is a full-size 3g pitch, this facility is used for a variety of matches, club and foundation programmes, the wider community and more recently a local university. The pitch was refurbished in 2018 thanks to funding by the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund, which is delivered by the Football Foundation.
Inside the stadium, the ground has two covered stands and is fully terraced on all four sides. It currently holds the FA ‘B’ Grading and has a capacity of 4000.
The main stand consists of a 524 seats, while the other three terraces are standing only.
