Match preview by Sam Jeavons

It was an uncharacteristic loss for Curzon Ashton away at Leamington, with the hosts coming away with all three points following a 4-1 win.

Mahon’s men however will need to rally on Thursday, with Farsley Celtic the visitors. A record of one win in 11 for the Celts, including an 8-1 dismantling by Gateshead in the FA Trophy means they’ll be looking to turn their form around to kickstart a new year survival push.

Curzon must look at this as a chance for a result during this tricky period, Nash fans have been in dreamland for the first half of the season, and Christmas wishes will be for the form and defensive solidarity to continue.

The Nash’s stellar record at the back with just 11 conceded in 21 games prior to Leamington, and their power combined with quality going forward led to the deserved pole position at the Christmas point.
