Tuesday’s defeat to Spennymoor was a setback to Curzon’s play off aspirations despite remaining in the top 7.

With the play off places and automatic promotion extremely tight going into the last 4 games with everyone playing 42 games, play off hopes remain in Craig Mahon’s side control.

Scunthorpe lead the way on 81 points, a point ahead of the hosts on 80 points who are level with Brackley, with the Harriers goal difference superior. Then a 5 point gap to Chester on 75, is followed by Chorley and Curzon on 72 with Chorley’s goal difference (+19) being one better than the Nash’s. The final play off place sees Hereford sit ahead of King’s Lynn by virtue of goal difference on 70, while Spennymoor (69) and Buxton (68) round up the chasing pack.

With every game crucial, this weekend sees some important fixtures between promotion contenders and in form sides. Scunthorpe host Spennymoor, Chester host the in form Darlington, Chorley host Marine, Hereford travel to Oxford while King’s Lynn and Brackley travel to all ready relegated Farsley Celtic and Warrington.

Kidderminster come into this clash after winning 4 of their last 5 games with a draw against Buxton last time out.
