Match Preview by Leon Higgins

Saturday’s 1-0 win against Peterborough Sports at the Tameside Stadium made it three wins in the last four league matches this month.

Those three wins have seen Mark Bradshaw’s side climb up to 10th in the league table after 13 games with 19 points on the board, four behind Kidderminster who occupy the final play off position and have played a game more.

King’s Lynn have been in a tough run of form lately. In their last five games The Linnets have lost four and drawn one. Loses have come against Scarborough, Scunthorpe (FA Cup), Fylde and last time out at home to Radcliffe after drawing 2-2 with Worksop.

The Linnets started the season well, but manager James Rowe resigned at the end of September and was replaced by Joe Simpson who initially was appointed interim manager.

King’s Lynn sit in 19th in the league table on 14 points, four points above Alfreton who currently occupy the final relegation zone position.

Curzon Ashton:

  • Saturday’s ‘Man of the Match’ Charlie Weston was named in this weekend’s National League North ‘Team of the Week’.
  • Three of Alex Curran’s goals have come away from home after scoring his first home goal on Saturday against Peterborough Sports.
  • Like Kings Lynn the Nash are yet to win when falling behind.

Kings Lynn:

  • Ross Crane (GW2 and GW3), Michael Gyasi (GW2) and Morgan Williams (GW6) have all featured in the National League North team of the weeks
  • German Michael Gyasi has 7 goals so far this campaign which is the joint 8th amount in the league.
  • Only Flyde’s Luca Thomas (7) and Ethan Mitchell (5), Merthyr’s Lewys Twamley (6) and Worksop’s Joe Leesley (5) have more assists than Wales U19 international Morgan Williams (4).
  • The Linnets currently sit bottom of the FairPlay table.

Management Preview:

Head Coach Mark Bradshaw shared his thought’s ahead of Tuesday night’s game:

King’s Lynn have got a long journey, but, being a full time team they’ll do it professionally.

Another tough game, every single game going into this month is tough.

-the points are the main thing, we can work out a way of getting three points against King’s Lynn on Tuesday, I’ll forgive some people for having a bad game (today, 25/10)

The lads are stepping up, if the odd one is having an off day then everyone around him has to bring that (sic) to see everybody through; Tuesday is a tough game but one that we are looking forward to, we’ll prepare for and I’m looking forward to it already.
