After a difficult week for the club off the pitch, the focus now turns back onto it for Curzon Ashton, who face Peterborough Sports at the Tameside Stadium this Saturday 21st September.

The Nash

Curzon will be aiming to pay tribute to one of the founders of the club and continue their fantastic start to the season. He would be immensely proud as they sit in 2nd place in the league heading into this match after a good week of training. A number of players in form scoring goals (Stefan Mols and Isaac Buckley-Ricketts) and those to come off the bench pushing for a start after last Saturday. 2 of the 5 substitutes (Mike Afuye and Ben Darby) that came on got a goal in the 6-0 FA Cup victory and showing they are also hungry for action.

Peterborough Sports
The opposition for Curzon is Peterborough Sports (The Turbines) who themselves have had a challenging start to the season finding themselves in 17th place. However, they do head into this one on the back of 2 wins (1 league and 1 cup) and defeated bottom of the table Oxford City on Tuesday night away from home 3-1 and similarly to The Nash, left Kings Lynn with 3 points earlier this season.

Recent Meeting

We last faced The Turbines back in February when they visited the Tameside Stadium. A 2-1 victory saw the visitors leave with all 3 points.
