Match Preview by Leon Higgins

It’s been well over a month since the unbeaten South Shields came to the Tameside Stadium and claimed a 2-1 win in the horrendous rain and wind. Four games later, Mark Bradshaw’s side return home.

Last week’s five goal 3-2 thriller which resulted in defeat to Macclesfield, saw four goals scored within 25 minutes but ultimately a first league defeat since the South Shields clash.

The Nash currently sit 10th in the league table after 12 games on 16 points.

Peterborough Sports are currently bottom of the table on eight points. They are joined on eight points with Oxford City and Southport who sit just above The Turbines by virtue of goal difference.

In their last five games, Peterborough have claimed two wins, two loses and a draw. Last time out they suffered a home 2-1 defeat to Buxton after getting a draw against Alfreton. They did however beat Kidderminster 2-1 at Lincoln Road which resulted in Jez Davies making GW10 National League North Team of the week. The other two games have been in the FA Cup with a 2-1 win against Hornchurch before going out of the cup to Harborough Town 4-1. Between the FA Cup games The Turbines suffered an abandonment at Southport where they were losing 2-1. The rearranged game will take place on Tuesday.
