Curzon’s 3-2 victory at Needham Market in one of the Nash’s games in hand on other play off chasers meant Craig Mahon’s side returned to the top 7.
As The Nash approach the final 6 games of the season, it’s Scunthorpe who lead the way on 81, followed by Kidderminster (79), Brackley (77), Chester (74) and Chorley (71) who occupy the top 5 and play off places.
The battle for the 6th and 7th play off spots has the Curzon, Hereford and King’s Lynn all on 69 points, with goal difference separating the three sides, Curzon (+20 GD) and Hereford (+18 GD) currently sitting in the last two places above King’s Lynn who have (+6 GD). Buxton (67) and Spennymoor (66) also conclude the chasing pack.
With Buxton hosting Kidderminster, Chester travelling to Edgar Street to take on Hereford and King’s Lynn playing host to Chorley, Curzon know that teams in and around the play off spots will drop points making this game all more important in a bid for the play offs.
Warrington on the other hand, are fighting for something else, with The Yellows knowing that a loss would see them relegated. A draw would also see The Wire go down if Radcliffe get a point at home to Scunthorpe. In Warrington’s last 5 games in all competitions they have seen just one win with that coming in the Cheshire Senior Cup against Crewe winning 1-0 which was then followed by losing to Stalybridge Celtic 1-0 in the same competition.
The 3 league games have seen a 4-0 loss to Oxford City, 2-0 to Spennymoor and a tight 3-2 loss to Darlington.
