Curzon started the game shaky as five minutes in, Timi Sobowale’s awkward back pass gave Chester their first corner of the game which thankfully came to nothing.

On the eighth minute mark, The Nash had their first chance of the game as Jimmy Spencer intercepted in midfield and gave it to Crispin McLean whose shot from range was easily saved by George Murray-Jones, five minutes later, Curzon had another chance as Adam Barton met Jack Stobbs’ corner however his effort went wide.

20 minutes went by at The Deva Stadium with Curzon looking the likeliest to get the first goal of the game, however, in the 21st minute Chester took the lead through Offrande Zanzala. Just before the half hour mark Chester had a chance to double their lead as Jack Bainbridge’s shot from range was deflected for a corner.

With 15 minutes of the first half left, The Nash were trying to force an equaliser however Chester doubled their lead in the 32nd minute through Jack Stobbs, with the Curzon man unfortunately hitting the ball into his own net.

From kick off Curzon looked to reply straight away as Charlie Weston twisted and turned inside the box with his effort being claimed by George Murray-Jones, Chester then had a chance to get a third as Dylan Mottley-Henry cut inside on the left hand side with his shot being saved by Callum Hawkins.

Curzon had the ball in the net just before half-time, through Brad Holmes but he was called offside.

Half time arrived with Curzon having work to do to stay in the FA Cup.

At half time Mark Bradshaw made a substitution with Joel Amado replacing Timi Sobowale.

Curzon began the second half poorly with Dylan Mottley-Henry causing issues for The Nash as he cut inside from the left hand side with his effort being denied brilliantly by Callum Hawkins. In the 55th minute, Bradshaw made another sub bringing on Alex Curran for Crispin McLean.

On the hour mark substitute Alex Curran had the chance to pull a goal back as his freekick looked for the bottom corner with his shot being cleared by Chester. Just after the hour mark, Bradshaw made a double change bringing on Joe Rodwell-Grant and Ben Darby for Brad Holmes and Charlie Weston.

Chester scored their third in the 66th minute through winger Dylan Mottley-Henry.

With 73 minutes on the clock Curzon had their first chance of the half as Captain Jimmy Spencer sent Charlie Weston in behind as his effort was saved by George Murray-Jones in the Chester net.

The 75th minute arrived, Chester scored their fourth through Pat Jones and just 10 minutes later scored their fifth through Connor Woods.

With 2 minutes of the 90 remaining, Curzon grabbed a late consolation goal as Jimmy Spencer’s acrobatic effort went into the net.

The game ended with Curzon exiting the FA Cup at the third round qualifying stage.
