Goals from Alex Curran and Charlie Weston were not enough for The Nash this afternoon.
The Nash started the game brightly as Jack Stobbs was played in down the right hand side and his cross found Captain Jimmy Spencer whose shot went over the bar.
Tony Weston then had two opportunities within 5 minutes to put The Nash ahead, the first came on the 7th minute, as he found himself in behind on the left hand side and his curling effort went just wide of the post, just minutes later he had another opportunity on goal via a curling effort that went just wide.
15 minutes into the game Macclesfield went in front through winger Justin Johnson, however, Curzon instantly responded, when former Macclesfield man Alex Curran scored the equaliser just 3 minutes later. Ben Darby flicked the ball over the top for Curran who slotted home his 3rd goal of the season.
From the kick off, Macclesfield went back in front through midfielder Danny Whitehead, however, once again, the situation repeated as Curzon instantly responded, drawing level, this time through Charlie Weston. He curled effort from outside the box went into the top left corner for his 2nd goal of the season.
After a maniac 9 minutes, the game slowed down as both teams played the ball around the back. With 5 minutes left of the first half, Macclesfield started to apply pressure looking to go into half time in front.
Half time arrived with The Nash level.

The Nash started the second half as they started the first half with Jack Stobbs laying the ball off to Tony Weston whose shot was saved by Dearnley in the Macclesfield net.
WHAT A CHANCE – only 1 minute later, Captain Jimmy Spencer’s shot smashed the post! The captain received the ball on the left hand side with his curling effort smashing off the inside of the post and rolling across the line.
With 67 minutes on the clock, Head Coach Mark Bradshaw made his first two substitutions of the game as Crispin McLean and Adam Barton came on for the two goal scorers, Charlie Weston and Alex Curran.
Macclesfield had a chance to go back in front on the 72nd minute when Danny Elliott’s shot smashed the side netting, however, Curzon immediately went down the other end as Tony Weston crossed the ball to Jimmy Spencer whose header went just wide of the post!
On the 76th minute Mark Bradshaw made another change as Timi Sobowale came on to replace Jack Stobbs.
With just under 10 minutes of normal time left to plat Macclesfield regained the lead as Justin Johnson scored his second of the game and put Macclesfield 3-2 up.
Following the goal Mark Bradshaw made his final two substitutions of the game as Joe Rodwell-Grant and Brad Holmes came on to replace Jordan Richards and Chibuike Ezennolim.
The 90th minute arrived with the referee awarding seven minutes of stoppage time. In the 96th minute, Curzon thought they snatched an equaliser as Brad Holmes stabbed the ball home but he was adjudged to be offside.
