After 90 minutes, the game was tied at 3-3, with goals from Alex Curran, Ben Connolly and Brad Holmes not enough for Curzon to win in normal time.
Curzon started the game brightly, with only two minutes on the clock Brad Holmes was in behind Hyde’s defence forcing goalkeeper Yusuf Mersin into an early save that resulted in a corner for The Nash.
From the resulting corner The Nash went ahead through forward Alex Curran. The ball dropped to him outside the box and he smashed it into the top right corner for his eighth goal of the season.
With 15 minutes gone, Curzon were dominating proceedings. This domination continued as in the 16th minute, Curzon doubled their lead with Ben Connolly scoring his first goal of the season. Jack Stafford played the ball across the box with Ben tapping in from close range.
An injury to Jack Stobbs forced Head Coach Mark Bradshaw into an early substitution as on the 19th minute he introduced Timi Sobowale for the outgoing Stobbs.
Just after the 20 minute mark Hyde pulled a goal back through defender Harry Ditchfield, the host’s then continued to look for the equaliser as Tom Pratt and Nyal Bell both had shots going just wide of the post.
With 10 minutes left of the first half, Curzon began to regain control of the game with Charlie Weston having a shot from outside of the box which went just over the bar. I

With ten minutes played in the second half, Curzon created their first opportunity after the restart. Alex Curran linked up with Jack Stafford, laying the ball off for the full-back, whose shot went just wide of the near post.
As the hour mark passed, Curzon threatened again. This time Joe Rodwell-Grant tried his luck from distance, but his effort went over the crossbar.
Head Coach Mark Bradshaw made his second substitution of the game on the 66th minute, as goalscorer Alex Curran made way for Tony Weston.
With twenty minutes of normal time left on the clock Curzon were looking to extend their lead and regain that two goal cushion, Joe Rodwell-Grant laid the ball off for Harry Olufowbi whose shot went just wide of the post. Four minutes later it was Hyde that found their equaliser, when Lewis Rawsthorn finished smartly to bring the hosts level at 2–2.
With 10 minutes of the game to go, Curzon were looking to get the winner, however, it was Hyde that found the next goal, scoring a third, through Max Harrop to make it 3-2.
Head Coach Mark Brashaw made his final substitution of the game on the 88th minute, new signing Cian Flannery made way for Joel Amado who returned to his old stomping ground.
With only 1 minute of the normal time remaining, Curzon equalised through Brad Holmes as he scored his sixth goal of the season.
Substitute Tony Weston crossed the ball in from the left hand side as Brad headed home from close range.
The game ended 3-3 with a penalty shootout to follow.
Hyde stepped up first with Matt Fearnley converting his penalty, however Hyde’s Lewis Rawsthorn had his penalty saved by Josh Ollerenshaw in the Curzon net – with Hyde converting four of the initial five penalties.
Curzon sealed the win, scoring all five penalties, Tony Weston, Brad Holmes, Charlie Weston & Jack Stafford all converting, with Timi Sobowale scoring the fifth and winning penalty.
