The Nash started the game brightly with Jordan Richards going down the right hand side with his cross being cleared. 2 minutes later, Hyde had their first chance of the game as Jack Redshaw was released behind The Nash’s defence with his weak shot being saved. Halfway through the first half Hyde had another chance as Will Hall rose the highest from the corner with his header going over the bar.
33 minutes in, The Nash had a penalty. Joe Rodwell-Grant stepped up and fired his penalty over the bar. 5 minutes before half time Jack Redshaw was in behind again for Hyde as his shot was blocked by Marcus Poscha. Just before the half time whistle, Crispin Mclean drove into the Hyde penalty area with his shot being saved.

The Nash started the second half as they started the first with Crispin Mclean’s effort being cleared off the line by Taylor Dyson. The 56th minute arrived with The Nash going in front through Trialist A. He was played in behind Hyde’s defence with him chipping the ball over the keeper.
Halfway through the second half, Ben Darby won the ball in the middle of the park with his curling effort going just wide of the post. 10 minutes to go, Joe Rodwell-Grant received the ball inside the area as he cut inside with his shot going just wide of the post. Just before the final whistle, Lewis Rawsthorne was behind The Nash’s defence again as Josh Ollerenshaw performed a stunning save with his feet.
The final whistle blew with The Nash coming out with their first victory of pre-season at The Project Solar Stadium.
