Goals from Will Harris, Junior Mondal and Glen Taylor with no reply from Curzon saw Spennymoor take all the three points.

The Nash started the game strong with Afuye having the ball on the right hand side sending the cross in towards Spencer as his header went just wide of the post. 2 minutes later, Curzon had another good chance as Alex Curran picked the ball up just outside the area with his shot just going over. The Nash had another opportunity as Afuye’s corner was cleared to Isaac Sinclair whose shot from outside of the area was saved by Luthra.

Spennymoor then went close as Timi Sobowale’s failed clearance landed at Corey McKeown’s feet, whose curled shot goes wide.

Midway through the first half, The Nash had a great opportunity to go in front as Stefan Mols’ corner was whipped in with Spencer heading it back across with Poscha’s acrobatic attempt hitting the crossbar.

33 minutes in, Spennymoor had the chance to go in front as Reece Staunton sends the ball in to Aiden Rutledge with his header going over. The last chance for the first half fell to Curzon as Isaac Sinclair drove through the heart of Spennymoor’s midfield with his shot being saved brilliantly by Luthra.

Half time arrived with the game fairly even with The Nash needing the points to solidify their place in the play off positions.

The second half began with Curzon having the first chance of the half as Sinclair plays the ball down the left to Stefan Mols who passed it to Spencer with his outside of the foot attempt going wide of the post.

Just past the hour mark, Spennymoor went in front through Junior Mondal, Rob Ramshaw’s low ball across the box was directed home by Junior. With 70 minutes on the clock, The Nash had the opportunity to equalise as substitute Luis Lacey’s deflected shot looped over for Spencer with his shot going just wide of the post.

The 82nd minute arrived and Spennymoor doubled their lead through Glen Taylor. Junior Mondal won possession and passed the ball to Ramshaw with his pass feeding Taylor who stabbed in the second goal. Just before the 90th minute arrived, Spennymoor made it three through Will Harris, he escaped in behind The Nash’s defence as his right footed shot was smashed past Bobby in goal.

This result sees The Nash falling to sixth but remaining in the playoffs with 4 big games still to go.
