Isaac Sinclair scored the game’s only goal which saw The Nash claim all three points.


The Nash had the first chance of the game as Isaac Buckley-Ricketts was played in behind the yellows defence as he lobbed Daniel Atherton which went just wide of the post. 5 minutes later Michael Afuye had a chance as he turned brilliantly outside of the box as his left footed shot was blocked. 25 minutes in, Warrington had their first chance of the game as captain Bohan Dixon’s cross found Lee Williams as his header went just over the bar.

33 minutes in, Warrington had another chance as Joe Rodwell-Grant had the ball outside of the box as he unleashed his shot at Bobby Jones who dealt with it.

The 38th minute mark arrived and The Nash went in front through Isaac Sinclair, captain Jimmy Spencer got in behind Warrington’s defence and he laid the ball off to Isaac Sinclair who placed his shot into the bottom right corner.

Shortly before the half time whistle Matthew McDonald was in behind Curzons defence as he flicked the ball over Poscha with his shot being claimed by Bobby.

Half time arrived with The Nash in front with them needing vital points in their race for the play off positions.

The second half began with Michael Afuye cutting inside onto his left foot crossing the ball into the box with Jimmy Spencer getting on the end of it with his header being brilliantly saved by Atherton.

3 minutes later, in form Alex Curran whipped a ball into the box as he finds an unmarked Michael Afuye at the back post with his header going over the bar.

Midway through the second half, Warrington had a chance as Litherland’s attempted clearance lands at Dixon’s feet on the edge of the box and his shot drags wide of the post.

Into the final 5 minutes Warrington had the chance to draw level as goalkeeper Daniel Atherton came up for a freekick, he won the header with it looking to go into the net however Stefan Mols produced a goal line clearance.

The Nash held on as they claimed all three points with them rising to fifth.

The Nash will look to continue their unbeaten run through April as they face Spennymoor Town on Tuesday night at the Tameside Stadium.
