Devon joined the club in 2022 from local side Mossley AFC and has since gone on to make 138 appearances, scoring 8 goals.

Matthews has been an integral part of the team since joining The Nash, none more so than last season, playing an important part in the team’s highest ever league finish and subsequent play-off fixture.

Speaking on his departure, Matthews commented:

Firstly, I want to say a massive thank you to everyone at the clubfor the past two and a half years. The board, the fans and management have all had a massive impact on me as a player.

The lads I have played with during my time have helped me massively and made my time at the club special.
