The 26 year old joins the Nash on a 2 year contract that will see him at the Tameside Stadium until 2027.
Joel started out his career as an U18 player at Curzon Ashton, playing for Assistant Manager Mark Bradshaw, who signed the defender from Droylsden.
He played for The Nash for two seasons before leaving to begin his university journey – whilst at university he represented the British Universities football team.
The defender has since played for number of North West clubs, most recently, fellow Tameside team, Hyde United where he made 95 appearances, scoring 7 goals.
Speaking on the signing, Assistant Manager, Mark Bradshaw said:
Our junior/U18 pathway gives players the opportunity to develop and ultimately go and play men’s football, however, we monitor all our previous players with the intention of bringing them back to the club to play for the men’s team – should the timing be right.
We are pleased that Joel has returned to the club, with the option of continuing at Hyde United Joel showed the ambition of continuing his football journey at a higher level and we are delighted to give him that opportunity.
Welcome to Curzon Ashton, Joel!
